COLUMBIA, SC (July 25, 2024) – A Union lottery player has won a jackpot with a quick pick.
But it wasn’t your ordinary quick pick. He used a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket that was a quick pick from a previous drawing and asked the clerk to play those same numbers again. And it paid off.
On June 11, he won the $120,000 rolling jackpot (5, 6, 9, 12 and 40).
The ticket was purchased from the Murphy station on West Buffalo Springs Hwy.
“It was exciting,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “And it was a blessing too.”
The winner plans to help others and do a few projects around the house with his win.
This evening’s Palmetto Cash 5 rolling jackpot drawing is worth $160,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Murphy USA #7470 in Union received a commission of $1,200.
The odds of winning a Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668.
