COLUMBIA, SC (August 13, 2026) – Three family members in the Midlands are sharing a $750,000 lottery win.
The group won the prize on a $10 scratch-off at The Store on Hwy. 6 in Gaston.
They didn’t pick the ticket at random.
“It was in the case that was my favorite number,” said one of the winners. “I scratched it, and we thought it was a joke. I turned the ticket over to make sure it was real.”
The trio cashed in the winning ticket together and each received approximately $175,000 after taxes.
To celebrate, the winners are taking a family vacation.
They beat the odds of 1 in 1,290,000 in the Mighty Jumbo Bucks game to leave just one more $750,000 prize left to be won.
The Store in Gaston received a commission of $7,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
