COLUMBIA, SC (April 4, 2025) – A lottery ticket that caught a Pee Dee man’s eye has won him $300,000.
He spotted the $10 scratch-off at the Cruizers IX on W. Carolina Ave. in Hartsville.
“I didn’t go to the store for a ticket,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I saw the tickets and said give me #15.”
He says he took the card home and started scratching it in the reverse direction, from right to left. He saw three zeroes first, followed by two more zeros and then the number three.
“It made me very happy,” he said.
The odds of winning $300,000 playing Wild Cash Multiplier Extra Play are 1 in 7400,000. No more top prizes remain in the game.
Cruizers IX in Hartsville received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
