When he told his fiancé the news, she said, “It’s a scam.” But then he reminded her how he found the ticket while cleaning out his truck, and showed her the app that showed the winner’s hometown was Cordova.
“I was trying to hold it together and drive safely on the way here,” he joked before taking his big spin in the Lottery’s draw studio on Main St. in Columbia.
After his spin, Adam shared one more plan for the prizemoney.
“There’s a possibility we might buy a boat,” he said. “Yes, a boat,” the wife agreed.
