COLUMBIA, SC (August 1, 2025) – A Midlands woman calls her $2 million lottery win a “miracle.”
“I was riding down the road, and I prayed for a lottery win,” she said. “And that’s exactly what I got.”
On Bush River Rd. in Columbia she says she spotted the City Fuel & Food gas station. She had never stopped at the store before but decided to pull in and get a $20 scratch-off.
When she scratched it and saw a “MONEYBAG” symbol and “$2MIL” for the win, she says she walked out of the store and sat in her car stunned.
“I was shaking when I signed the ticket,” she said. “It’s a dream come true.”
The Lottery caught up with the winner after she cashed in the ticket. She says she has already given to some of her favorite charities and is still adjusting to being a millionaire.
The winner beat the 1 in 1,536,000 odds in the $2,000,000 Millionaire game. One more top prize of $2 million remains in the game.
For selling the claimed ticket, City Fuel & Food Inc. in Columbia received a commission of $20,000.
