COLUMBIA, SC (May 16, 2024) – A single mom in the Lowcountry has won $2 MILLION playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.

She was headed to the grocery store when she dropped by the Krishna of Summerville on Dorchester Rd. and bought a lottery ticket. She scratched the ticket at the convenience store.

“I gasped,” she said, when she saw the millions were hers. “I thought there is no way this is happening.”

In disbelief, she says she left the store with the winning ticket and still went grocery shopping.

“I’m still working too, and I’ll keep working,” the millionaire said.

What has changed? She is debt free and has set aside money for her kids’ education. And mom can treat herself a little.

“I’ve never gotten my nails done,” she said.  “I might splurge on that.”

The winner beat the 1 in 1,460,000 odds to leave five more top prizes of $2 million remaining in the 200X The Cash game.

For selling the claimed ticket, Krishna of Summerville Inc. in Summerville received a commission of $20,000.
