The Lottery would love to hear from students who have benefited from receiving lottery-funded scholarships and grants to further their educational goals. If this sounds like you, please share your story and help exemplify how the financial support provided with lottery net proceeds has positively impacted your life, family, career and education.

Your testimonial should be a minimum of 150 words. Please include your name, the college or university you attend or attended, year of graduation, and the scholarship or grant you received, an email address and telephone number. Photos in JPEG format are accepted but not required. Please email testimonials and photos to julie.huffman@sclot.com. All submissions will be reviewed and you may be contacted regarding use of your story in beneficiary messaging and scholarship awareness initiatives.

SCEL looks forward to hearing from students whose higher education goals are being attained or were attained with assistance from appropriations from the Education Lottery Account.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, South Carolina’s students have received more than 794,000 lottery-funded scholarships and grants. The categories of financial aid supported with appropriations from the Education Lottery Account include the Palmetto Fellows, LIFE, and S.C. HOPE Scholarships, as well as S.C. Need-based Grants and Tuition Grants, Lottery Tuition Assistance and the S.C. National Guard College Assistance Program.

The Lottery’s mission is to raise proceeds the General Assembly uses to supplement educational programs for students in the Palmetto State.
