COLUMBIA, SC (December 7, 2010) – What would a 26-year-old do with $100,000? Buy video games of course.

“He’s a good son,” said the winner’s mother. “He doesn’t drink, smoke, or get in trouble. He plays video games.”

He also shares. When the Santee man realized he won $100,000 on a Winter Bucks instant ticket his first though was of his family. He told lottery officials he plans to split the winnings with them. That makes mama very proud.

“Like I said, he’s a good son.”

Winter Bucks is one of four holiday instant tickets from the South Carolina Education Lottery. As of this release, the $5 game has three $100,000 prizes remaining.

Hot Spot #1607 in Eutawville sold the winning ticket and received a check for $1,000. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent retailer commission, capped at $50,000.
