Two Upstate Lottery Players Miss Jackpots by One Number

COLUMBIA, SC (October 4, 2021) – Over the weekend, two lottery players in the Upstate came within one number of winning a jackpot.

One played Mega Millions® and the other played Powerball®.

The Mega Millions® player purchased their lucky ticket at Carlisle Crossing at 4596 Parris Bridge Rd. in Boiling Springs and won $10,000 in Friday’s drawing (21, 25, 36, 62, 63 and MB:6). The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the gold Megaball® at odds of 1 in 931,001.

The Powerball® player bought their ticket at Mike’s Food Store at 2731 E. Cherokee St. in Blacksburg and won $50,000 in Saturday’s drawing (28, 38, 42, 47, 52 and PB:1). The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number at odds of 1 in 913,129.
