COLUMBIA, SC (August 3, 2023) – A Pawleys Island lottery winner invited his mom to ride with him to Columbia to cash in a ticket worth $300,000.
He’d purchased the winning ticket at Pawleys Express on Ocean Hwy. in Pawleys Island.
“He was very excited about it,” the mother told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
And she felt lucky too.
“He gave me a tip,” she said.
Two top prizes of $300,000 remain in the $10 Kings Ransom game at odds of 1 in 900,000.
Pawleys Express in Pawleys Island received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
