COLUMBIA, SC (January 30, 2023) – A gut feeling led an Aynor woman to play the Lottery and win a half-a-million dollars.
On her drive to work, she was approaching the Aynor Food Mart on Hwy. 501 E. when something told her to turn in. She did, went inside the store and picked out a $10 scratch-off.
At first she thought she only won $500 on the ticket, but her hand started shaking when she scratched off three more zeroes for a $500,000 prize. Then there were happy tears.
“It felt like a dream and was the most amazing feeling in the world,” she said of the win.
Her first purchase is a new home.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 660,000 to win $500,000 in the $500,000 Multiplier Money game. Three more top prizes remain on the ticket.
Aynor Food Mart in Aynor received a commission of $5,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
