Columbia, SC (October 27, 2025) – A Midlands man is one of four lottery players headed to NASCAR Championship Weekend™ at Phoenix Raceway®, Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, for a chance at $1 MILLION!
Daryle Fair of Columbia heard his name called during yesterday’s Xfinity 500 race at Martinsville Speedway. The other three NASCAR Powerball Playoff finalists announced were from Kansas, Maine and North Carolina.
One of them will win $1 million in a drawing broadcast live on NBC during pre-race coverage of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race™ on Sunday, Nov. 2 starting at 2 p.m. ET.
“When I told my wife I might win $1 million, she said, ‘I hope you get it,’” Fair told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “If it happens, I’m going to buy a new house.”
Fair says he plays Powerball when the jackpot gets big and ops for a quick pick. He entered the Powerball Playoff Promotion back in the spring and survived a series of elimination drawings that narrowed 16 national lottery winners down to the final four vying for the $1 million prize in Phoenix, AZ.
