COLUMBIA, SC (March 13, 2025) – From now until April 13, South Carolina Education Lottery Powerball® players can enter their tickets for a chance to win $1 MILLION in the NASCAR Powerball PlayoffTM promotion.
The $1 million winner will be announced live from the NASCAR Cup Series Championship RaceTM in Phoenix, AZ, on Sunday, November 2.
Players can enter their Powerball® tickets with PowerPlay® and Double Play added, a $4 purchase, using the Lottery’s Players’ Club app or website for a chance to win.
And there’s more than just $1 million at stake.
Thirty-five South Carolina semi-finalists will win tickets to the fall race weekend at Darlington and a chance to win a total race experience for the 2026 Daytona 500. The winners will be selected on April 15 and advance to a national drawing.
Sixteen national semi-finalists will be announced on August 23 at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, FL. These lottery players will win cash prizes or a trip to the NASCAR® Cup Series Championship Race in Phoenix, AZ, in a series of elimination drawings that coincide with the NASCAR Playoffs.
This is the third year of the NASCAR Powerball PlayoffTM promotion, and South Carolina is one of 26 state lotteries participating. Last year, a Columbia, SC, man was among the final four contestants for a chance to win $1 million at the race in Phoenix. The $1 million prize was won by a Louisiana Lottery player, and the South Carolina winner took home $10,000.
