COLUMBIA, SC (April 20, 2023) – An Upstate man triple checked his lottery ticket to be sure he won $75,000.
“It’s unbelievable,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials after cashing in the top prize win.
He says he bought the $3 crossword style scratch-off and something to drink at the Speedee Mart on W. Main St. in Clinton. Three times he counted 11 words on his ticket, which added up to the $75,000 prize.
“I’ve spent it,” he laughed.
The winning ticket was bought for $3 at the Speedee Mart in Clinton. The store received a commission of $750 for selling it.
No more top prizes of $75,000 remain in the Crossword Tripler game at odds of 1 in 600,000.
