COLUMBIA, SC (February
2, 2023) – With no winner in Wednesday night’s Powerball®
drawing, Saturday’s draw just got a lot more interesting.
Someone stands to win a hefty $700 million and lay claim to the sixth
largest jackpot in Powerball® history.
That’s a $375 million cash payout for whoever can overcome odds of 1 in
293 million.
In last night’s drawing almost 26,000 players in South Carolina won prizes from
$2 up to $50,000. A ticket worth $50,000 was sold at the Publix Super Markets at
955 Wood Duck Dr. in Myrtle Beach.
A record Powerball® jackpot worth more than $2 billion was won back in November
of 2022.
Tickets for Saturday’s $700 million jackpot are available at lottery retailers
statewide. Tickets cost $2, and in South Carolina must be purchased by 9:59
p.m. for Saturday’s 10:59 p.m. drawing.
Good luck, South Carolina! Please Play Responsibly!
