COLUMBIA, SC: Beginning Monday, October 30, 2006, South Carolina Education Lottery’s (SCEL) claims centers will have the ability to redeem lottery tickets up to $1 million.
“This change is an effort to give our players the service they want and deserve,” said Tony Cooper, SCEL’s Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to October 30, players had to claim prizes of more than $200,000, in Columbia.
Here are the four locations of SCEL’s claims centers:
Columbia Redemption Center

Players claiming prizes more than $1 million must be redeemed at the Columbia Redemption Center. SCEL also now requires players who win lottery prizes of $100,000 or more to claim their prize in person. All Redemption Centers are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (except State holidays).
