COLUMBIA, SC: The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The award was given by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) - South Carolina State Council in partnership with Setcom Media, SC Jobnetwork.com, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, and Best Companies Group.
“This reinforces my belief that SCEL has a world-class workforce,” said Ernie Passailaigue, SCEL Executive Director. “The goal of all our employees is to provide the highest level of service to our stakeholders, while operating in a culture where work is fun.”
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in South Carolina, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
• Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
• Be a publicly or privately held business;
• Have a facility in South Carolina;
• Have at least 25 employees in South Carolina.
