PRESS CONFERENCE
LOTTERY ENCOURAGES RESPONSIBLE PLAY

The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) and the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) announce the Kickoff of “National Problem Gambling Awareness Week” and “Play Responsibly Month.”

WHAT: National Problem Gambling Awareness Week will take place March 7-13. Paula Harper Bethea, Executive Director of SCEL, will host a press conference to address the Lottery’s year long commitment to encouraging responsible play.

Bethea will be joined by officials from DAODAS to discuss how to increase public awareness of both the problem of compulsive gambling and of the services available for individuals and families impacted by problem gambling.
