COLUMBIA, SC (May 2, 2018) – A Marion lottery winner described the time between winning the lottery and cashing in the winning ticket as torture.
“I couldn’t sleep,” he said. “I couldn’t stop checking the ticket. I kept making sure it was where I put it. I was worried the whole time the ticket would get lost.”
On the bright side he says thinking about ways to spend the $250,000 winnings was nice.
“I’m paying off the house,” he said.
He won playing the $10 All the Money game. Four top prizes of $250,000 remain in the game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Fuel Express in Moncks Corner received a commission of $2,500.
