COLUMBIA, SC (September 30, 2016) – A Camden man won the Lottery on his birthday.
His wife and children gave him South Carolina Education Lottery scratch-offs as gifts, and one of the tickets won Dad $150,000.
The birthday boy told lottery officials that after a slice of birthday cake he sat down at the kitchen table and started scratching though his tickets. A $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks card made the day even more special.
“It’s the best birthday I’ve ever had,” he said. “But my beautiful family, that’s my real gift.”
Six top prizes of $150,000 remain in the $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks game, at odds of 1 in 600,000.
Now that the prize is paid, the Youngs #3628 in Lugoff receives a $1,500 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
