COLUMBIA, SC (October 10, 2025) – South Carolina’s newest lottery millionaire is keeping it a secret.
The Upstate winner won $2.5 million playing the Magnificent Jumbo Bucks scratch-off and declined to release their name.
Lottery officials can say the winner was lucky enough to overcome the 1 in 1.72 million odds to win $2.5 million off the $20 ticket purchased at Nick’s Mart on N. Main St. in Woodruff. Three more $2.5 million prizes remain in the Magnificent Jumbo Bucks game.
Nick’s Mart received
a commission of $25,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
Since
the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 2.8 million college scholarships
and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $9
BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
