Tonight’s Powerball® Jackpot Raised to $685 MILLION

COLUMBIA, SC (October 4, 2021) – The Powerball® jackpot has been raised to $685 million ahead of Monday night’s drawing. The advertised jackpot amount has increased by $15 million since Saturday and ranks as the 6th largest jackpot offered.

Nationally, Powerball® reported more than 2.8 million prize winners in Saturday’s drawing. In South Carolina more than 53,000 prizes were won, the largest was for $50,000 in Blacksburg.

The $50,000 winning Powerball® ticket was bought at Mike’s Food Store at 2731 E. Cherokee St. in Blacksburg for Saturday’s drawing (28, 38, 42, 47, 52 and PB:1). The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number at odds of 1 in 913,129.

There are multiple ways to win with Powerball®. Win $1 million for matching the first five white ball numbers drawn or win $4 for matching only the red Powerball® number. There are eight ways to win prizes in addition to the jackpot.

It only takes one ticket to win. The Lottery urges players to please, play responsibly.

Drawings are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:59 p.m.

Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 293 million.
