COLUMBIA, SC (April 19, 2022) – Powerball® turns 30 today! In South Carolina we’re celebrating with three big wins reported in last night’s drawing. Players in Greenville, Batesburg and Bluffton should check their tickets.
A player with Double Play® won $500,000 at the Publix Super Market #874 on Pelham Rd. in Greenville. The winning Double Play® numbers were: 12, 17, 29, 65, 66 and PB 7.
In Batesburg, the Quick Stop #5 on W. Columbia Ave. sold a ticket with PowerPlay® worth $100,000. Then $50,000 was won in Bluffton at the Enmark Station #851 on the Bluffton Pkwy. The winning Powerball® numbers were: 8, 33, 55, 59, 62 and PB 18.
With no jackpot winner, the new jackpot announced on Powerball®’s 30th birthday is $370 million. In three decades of play, 393 jackpots have been won. Seven of those wins were in South Carolina.
“America’s Jackpot Game” came to the Palmetto State in October of 2002. Jackpot-winning tickets have been sold in Fort Mill ($88.7 million), Clover ($110.7 million), Townville ($65.8 million), Florence ($15 million), West Columbia ($35.3 million), Columbia ($259.9 million) and Lexington ($399.4 million).
