COLUMBIA, SC (June 9, 2022) – An Upstate woman says her experience winning the Lottery was like something you would see on television.

The story starts with her buying a ticket at the Sunoco Quick Mart on Laurens Rd. in Greenville. The friendly clerk behind the counter hands her a $5 ticket and wishes her good luck.

She gets home, scratches the ticket, and is shocked to see she wins $200,000.

“I screamed,” she told lottery officials.

Then she shows the winning ticket to her Mom.

“We are both screaming,” the winner said.

The winner admits she couldn’t have scripted the moment any better.

“It was just like on TV,” she said. “And it still feels like a dream.”

For selling the claimed Payday Bonus Play ticket, Sunoco Quick Mart in Greenville received a commission of $2,000. Two more top prizes remain in the game at odds of 1 in 900,000.
