COLUMBIA, SC (January 10, 2012) – A Columbia woman’s not letting on how great her Christmas really was. She won $100,000 in the Lottery’s Palmetto Cash 5 drawing on Christmas night.

“I felt my prayers were answered,” she said.

And she’s keeping the blessing to herself.

The winner told lottery officials she’s been playing the same numbers (14, 21, 23, 31 and 36) that came to her in a dream for about a year. The lucky numbers have now paid off her house.

“Unbelievable,” she said expressing thanks.

The odds of winning $100,000 are 1 in 501,942.

Corner Pantry #149 in Columbia received a commission of $1,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
