COLUMBIA, SC (January 13, 2012) – Waiting on his wife to put lunch on the table, a retired Trenton man scratched a lottery ticket. When lunch was served, he wasn’t hungry anymore.
Winning $200,000 on a Blue Sapphire Bucks instant ticket ruined his appetite.
His wife put her glasses on to take a closer look at the ticket that had her husband backing away from the table.
“What can we do with this?” she asked.
“All kinds of wonders,” he replied.
As of this release, one top prize of $200,000 remains in the $10 Blue Sapphire Bucks game.
The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 411,428.57.
Gas Plus #9 in North Augusta received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
