COLUMBIA, SC (March 9, 2012) – Gary Rodriguez is forming an entourage.
He’s looking for three friends to cheer him on in Hollywood, CA, where he’ll be competing for a chance to play in an exclusive non-broadcast, lottery players-only Wheel of Fortune® game hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
The best part: the trip is free.
The Lancaster resident won by entering his non-winning Wheel of Fortune scratch-offs in the South Carolina Education Lottery’s second-chance promotion. His $5 losing ticket was selected from more than 68,000 entries received to win the Wheel of Fortune trip valued at $12,500.
Two other South Carolina Education Lottery winners were also picked for the April 24-28 experience trip. In Hollywood they, along with lottery winners from all participating state lotteries, will be escorted to the historic Sony lot to spin the wheel for a guaranteed cash prize between $300 and $10,000 and could also be randomly selected to play in a non-broadcast lottery players-only Wheel of Fortune game with the chance to win up to $1 Million.
Rodriguez is hoping to leave with more than just memories.
“I’d like to win a car and drive back,” Rodriguez joked.
“Too bad I’m better with numbers than letters,” he confessed.
On the chance he gets to participate in the special lottery games, he’s been preparing by watching the show and playing along hoping his name will be called to play in the non-broadcast version of the game where he could win up to $1 million
All he’s asking for is Mother Nature’s blessing.
“I’m just hoping there are no earthquakes,” he said.
