COLUMBIA, SC (April 18, 2024) – A Lowcountry man is keeping a secret. His wife doesn’t know it yet, but he played Powerball® and won $150,000.
“I’m going to surprise her,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
The Powerball® ticket surprised him first. He almost won a jackpot when his ticket with PowerPlay® came up one number short in the drawing on February 24 (3, 8, 40, 53, 58 and PB: 3). He played his lucky numbers at the Bluffton Market on May River Rd. in Bluffton.
“Everybody should go there to buy their tickets,” he said, delighted with the result.
As for his plans for the prize money, he doesn’t have any yet. His wife might have some ideas.
The Bluffton Market in Bluffton was rewarded with a $1,500 commission for selling the ticket.
