COLUMBIA, SC (April 25, 2018) – When she woke up this morning, a Spartanburg County woman wasn’t planning to go to the bank, but that changed when she scratched off a $250,000 lottery win before breakfast.
It was 7 o’clock this morning she said, noting the time her payday came in.
She says she was going through her purse and found the Fantastic 10s scratch-off she bought yesterday at the Kangaroo Express #3409 on the Asheville Hwy. in Spartanburg.
“My mouth dropped open, and I was shaking,” she said when she realized what the ticket was worth. “I didn’t know what to think.”
She drove straight to the South Carolina Education Lottery’s Claims Center in Columbia to cash in the quarter-of-a-million dollar winning ticket.
Then it’s to the bank and home to start making plans for the prize money.
Three top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $10 Fantastic 10s game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Kangaroo Express #3409 in Spartanburg received a commission of $2,500.
