The Voice® Premiers Tonight & a North Augusta Woman has Already Won

COLUMBIA, SC (September 24, 2018) – A new season of The Voice® premieres tonight, and a North Augusta woman will be tuning in for the first time.

Last week she won $125,000 on the South Carolina Education Lottery’s The Voice® scratch-off ticket.

When asked if she was a fan of the singing competition show, she hesitated.

“No, I didn’t know it was a TV show,” she admitted.

She thought the microphone symbol next to her $125,000 prize was an ice cream cone.

So why that ticket?

“I thought it was an interesting name for a game,” she said.

So she bought two of The Voice® scratch-offs at the Gas Plus #5 on Georgia Ave. in North Augusta. She’ll be entering that second ticket, a non-winner, into The Voice® second-chance promotion for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas and Las Angeles for a The Voice Experience like none other. Details are on the ticket back and at sclottery.com.

For selling the claimed ticket, Gas Plus #5 in North Augusta received a commission of $1,250.

Two top prizes of $125,000 remain in the $5 The Voice® game, at odds of 1 in 720,000.
