COLUMBIA, SC (October 7, 2021) – The winner of a $200,000 lottery prize at a McClellanville convenience store is planning for the long term.

She was thinking short term when she picked out the $5 Lucky Numbers scratch-off at the Shree Food Mart on N. Hwy. 17. “I just tried my luck that day,” she said.

When she cashed in the winning ticket at the Lottery’s Claims Center in Columbia she expressed gratitude for the win and for the LIFE scholarship she received that is paid for with lottery proceeds.

“Both mean so much,” she said. “I can save and prepare for the future and whatever comes next.”

As of this release, three top prizes of $200,000 remain in the ($5) Lucky Numbers game, at odds of 1 in 750,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Shree Food Mart in McClellanville received a commission of $2,000.
