COLUMBIA, SC (April 27, 2022) – A Midlands man couldn’t contain his excitement when he scratched off a $30,000 win on a South Carolina Education Lottery ticket.
“I was jumping up and down,” the winner told lottery officials.
He says he brought the ticket home from the Gaz-Bah on W. Beltline Blvd. in Columbia and when he realized a five-figure payday was his, he just couldn’t stand still.
Now that he’s cashed in the prize, he’s going to sit back and relax a bit.
“My bills are paid,” he said.
The winner beat the 1 in 528,000 odds to win $30,000 in the Lucky Bucks game. Three more top prizes remain.
Gaz-Bah #003 in Columbia received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
