COLUMBIA, SC (June 8, 2023) – On his way to work, a Lowcountry man played the Lottery and got paid $300,000.
“It was a spur of the moment decision,” the winner told lottery officials. “I had $10 in change and said give me one of those tickets.”
He scratched the ticket he bought at the College Corner on Coming St. in Charleston when he got to work. He says his first thought was “no way.”
Instead of taking the rest of the day off, he says he stayed on his job and is in no rush to spend his prizemoney.
“I’m going to leave it in the bank,” he said.
Three more top prizes of $300,000 remain in the $10 Multiplier Surge game at odds of 1 in 900,000.
College Corner in Charleston received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
