COLUMBIA, SC (April 25, 2024) – From her living room recliner, an Upstate woman won $200,000 on a scratch-off.
It’s good she was sitting down.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “It’s a miracle.”
The winner, who does not wish to be identified, brought the $5 scratch-off home from the Quick Point on Whitehall Rd. in Anderson. She says she sat down in her recliner with the ticket, slid a tray table over and scratched off the big win.
She is the third, six-figure winner this month in Anderson. A player won $100,000 at the QuikTrip #1107 on Clemson Blvd., and another player won $200,000 at the Stop-A-Minit on N. Main St.
As for this recent winner’s plans, “I’m not a big spender,” she confessed.
For selling the claimed ticket, Quick Point in Anderson received a commission of $2,000.
Two top prizes of $200,000 remain in the High Roller game at odds of 1 in 750,000.
