COLUMBIA, SC (April 19, 2024) – An Upstate man has much to celebrate. He won $200,000 playing the Lottery and asked his girlfriend to marry him. She said, “Yes!”

“We’re engaged!” he told lottery officials.

He popped the question after winning big on a scratch-off ticket that he purchased at JNs Express Mart on White Horse Rd. in Greenville. He told lottery officials he took the $5 ticket out to his car to scratch. When he saw how much he won, he sat there for several minutes waiting for the magnitude of the win to sink in.

“It was a great experience, a blessing,” he said.

For selling the claimed ticket, JNs Express Mart in Greenville received a commission of $2,000.

Three top prizes of $200,000 remain in the High Roller game at odds of 1 in 750,000.
