COLUMBIA, SC (May 16, 2017) – For the second time, a West Columbia man has won $250,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.
“It’s amazing,” he said of his good fortune.
And he doesn’t believe it’s by accident.
“If you do something good for someone, and you don’t brag about it to your buddies, you will be blessed,” he said. “So do something good for someone.”
He told lottery officials that with his first $250,000 win he bought property, farm equipment and a vehicle. With his recent quarter-of-a-million dollar win on a $10 Win Big scratch-off, he’s starting a business.
He’s not done yet.
“I hope to win again,” he said.
Five top prizes of $250,000 remain in the Win Big game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Raceway #846 in West Columbia received a commission of $2,500.
