COLUMBIA, SC (August 26, 2024) – A Scranton lottery player called the store clerk over to look at her lottery ticket. The clerks advice when she saw it, “Get in your car and drive out of this parking lot.”
The winner did just that, hurrying home with a $300,000 winning ticket. And home is where the winner plans to spend most of the windfall on a long awaited renovation.
“I was completely numb, confused and relieved,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I drove off and forgot to pump the gas that I had paid for.”
Three more top prizes of $300,000 remain in Wild Cash Multiplier Extra Play game at odds of 1 in 740,000.
Little Fisher Truck Stop in Scranton received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
