COLUMBIA, SC (May 25, 2021) – A Lowcountry lottery winner is taking her $30,000 prize on a test drive.
“Wow!” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I’ve been wanting to buy a new car for a year.”
She says at four o’clock in the morning she remembered the ticket that she’d been carrying around in her purse after buying it at the Green Pantry at 2702 Ashley Phosphate Rd. in North Charleston. She got it, scratched it and thought she was seeing things.
“I almost lost my mind,” she said when she realized how much she won.
And the excitement continues this week as she searches for a new car.
Green Pantry in North Charleston received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 480,000 to win the first top prize of $30,000 in the ($2) 7-11-21® LIVE! game. Four more top prizes remain in the game.
