COLUMBIA, SC February 22, 2002) – The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) on Monday will announce the winners of its statewide Talent Search Contest.
The news conference will take place at 11 a.m. on Feb. 25 in the fourth floor lobby of the lottery’s headquarters, 1333 Main Street, Columbia. The winners will be on hand.
The talent contest winners will rotate serving as host or hostess during the live broadcast of the lottery’s nightly draws for the Pick 3 game, which begins March 7. The lottery will select at least five to alternate filling this role.
At 11 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 23, 20 semi-finalists will convene at Columbiana Centre mall for a live audition. To qualify as a semi-finalist, candidates submitted a one-minute tape and submitted to a background check. At tomorrow’s live audition, the selection panel will consider the following criteria: poise, energy, charisma, comfort level in front of the camera, stage presence and originality.
