COLUMBIA, SC (August 3, 2023) – An Upstate lottery winner says if felt like the whole world lifted off his shoulders when he won $300,000.
His luck changed on a $10 scratch-off that he purchased at the Exxon store at 1100 N. Main St. in Fountain Inn. He picked that ticket because he says he knew what the prize could do.
“I haven’t spent much of it,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “But I have got some things that I’ve wanted my whole life.”
One top prize of $300,000 remains in the $10 Win Big Money game at odds of 1 in 900,000.
Exxon in Fountain Inn received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
