$100,000 Palmetto Cash 5 Ticket Sold in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC (October 16, 2017) – Friday the 13th proved lucky for a Columbia player. The as yet unknown Palmetto Cash 5 player bought a ticket from the Food Lion #1280 at 1013 Broad River Rd. in Columbia to win $100,000.

The Palmetto Cash 5 ticket for Friday’s drawing matched all five numbers drawn to win the $100,000 top prize. Had the ticket holder “Powered-Up” for an additional $1, the $100,000 top prize would have multiplied to $300,000.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
