COLUMBIA, SC (August 3, 2017) – A Taylors man says his quarter-of-a-million dollar lottery win will put his three kids through college.
“I want them to start life without debt,” he said.
He hasn’t told them, or anyone else, yet of his $250,000 win.
“I can’t believe it myself,” he admitted.
He told lottery officials he rarely buys a ticket, but took a chance on a $10 South Carolina Education Lottery scratch-off at the KC Mart #5 on Hwy. 101 S. in Greer.
“This will give my kids a good start in life,” he said.
Four top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $10 Ca$h Blast game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, KC Mart #5 in Greer received a commission of $2,500.
