COLUMBIA, SC (April 3, 2018) – A Florence woman, who won $1 million playing the South Carolina Education Lottery, is packing her good luck.

“I’m going to Vegas,” she said.

Last week, she cashed in a $1 million winning Extreme Millions scratch-off that she purchased from the Abhi Enterprises on Pamplico Hwy. in Florence.

“I still don’t believe it,” she told lottery officials.

“Am I really a millionaire?” she asked.

The winner says she’ll return from Las Vegas to a home that’s paid for now and then it’s back to life as normal.

“I’m going to keep working,” she said.

To win, she overcame odds of 1 in 1.6 million to win the second top prize in the $10 Extreme Millions game. One top prize of $1 million remains in the game.

And for selling the claimed ticket Abhi Enterprises won too, receiving a commission of $10,000.

Players can enter their non-winning Extreme Millions tickets into a second-chance drawing for a chance to win an additional $1 million prize. For complete details on the Extreme Millions Second-Chance Drawing, please visit sceducationlottery.com.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 1.8 million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $4.9 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
