COLUMBIA, SC (September 7, 2023) – A Grand Strand woman’s intuition paid off when she won $300,000 on a lottery ticket.
The winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she had a feeling she should stop by the Food Lion on Hwy. 17 in Little River and play the Lottery.
“I was drawn to go there,” she explained.
Sitting in her car in the grocery store’s parking lot, she scratched the $10 ticket and uncovered the $300,000 top prize win. She called her husband to tell him the exciting news.
“He asked me to look at the ticket again,” she said.
She did, and the result was the same. The couple plans to invest the winnings.
Two top prizes of $300,000 remain in the Black Diamond Dazzler game at odds of 1 in 840,000.
Food Lion #281 in Little River received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
