COLUMBIA, SC (August 27, 2008) - Tears of joy sprang from Dolores Rucker's eyes when she realized she was the big winner in the Summer Escape 2008 second-chance Grand Prize event held Saturday, August 23, at the Charlotte Knights Stadium in Rock Hill.

"I'm excited! This is amazing," said Rucker. Her prize package, worth more than $60,000, included a Ford F-150® truck, a Carnival® cruise for four people, and 500,000 airline miles!

"I've never flown before or even been on a plane. I think I’ll take a short trip first," said Rucker, a Greenwood resident.

Second and third place finalists also won prizes. Doris Davis, of Moore, and Tyesha Gary, of Columbia, each won $3,000. Ceferina Hess, of Greenwood, and Adam Magid, of Indian Trail, NC, collected $1,000 each. Players in the audience took home prizes including airline miles, a Carnival® cruise for two, iPod® nanos and Ford® merchandise packages.

The Summer Escape 2008 Promotion features Air Escape, Land Escape and Sea Escape instant tickets, all packed with travel-themed prizes and cash. A third Grand Prize event is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, at the Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival in Myrtle Beach. A drawing for the fourth and final grand prize winner will be held sometime after the last day to sell the three qualified Summer Escape 2008 tickets.
