COLUMBIA, SC (December 2, 2009) – Due to technical difficulties, WCBD-TV, Channel 2 (NBC), in Charleston, inadvertently televised the Wednesday, November 25, 2009 evening lottery drawing again on Thursday, November 26, 2009. Then WCBD-TV unintentionally televised the Friday, November 27, 2009 evening lottery drawing again on Saturday, November 28, 2009.
WCBD-TV management apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused its viewers. WCBD-TV has implemented additional procedures to prevent this incident from occurring in the future.
The South Carolina Education Lottery will only pay out on winning numbers certified by the Lottery’s draw manager and an independent auditor.
