COLUMBIA, SC (December 2, 2010) – With a check for $200,000, a Myrtle Beach woman has a license to shop.
“I’m going to stimulate the economy,” she told lottery officials.
Admittedly her first stop wasn’t the nearest department store. After claiming the prize at the Charleston claims center, she treated herself to a nice lunch overlooking the water at Shem Creek.
The winner has been playing the same Palmetto Cash 5 numbers now for a month. Her winning combination comprised of anniversary dates and lucky numbers matched all five Palmetto Cash 5 numbers drawn (1, 16, 22, 28, and 33) on Monday, November 29. She purchased Power-Up for an additional $1, which multiplied the $100,000 winnings by “2” to $200,000.
“I’m really excited,” she shared. “There will be big Christmas presents this year for sure.”
For selling the winning ticket Kangaroo Express #3062 in Surfside Beach received a check for $2,000. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent retailer commission, capped at $50,000.
