COLUMBIA, SC (March 27, 2014) – For their 50th Anniversary, Dianne Lawrence surprised her husband with a Honda ATV.

Lawrence told her husband she was going to win one from the South Carolina Education Lottery when she mailed in three non-winning Honda scratch-off tickets at the Cross Hill post office.

“You’re crazy,” was her husband response. “What chance do you think you have?”

While he had his doubts, Mrs. Lawrence had the last laugh. From more than 87,000 entries received, the Cross Hill resident won the brand new Honda Rancher 4x4 ATV.

The couple picked up their prize from Destination Honda on US 76 in Clinton.

“We had a fun time winning it,” admitted Lawrence.

The whole family is enjoying riding the ATV on land they own on Lake Greenwood. The couple loves getting outdoors to fish, camp, water ski and hunt.

“My husband wants the Lottery to have a drawing for a truck next,” Lawrence laughs.

Lawrence was one of five South Carolina Education Lottery winners selected to win a Honda ATV in the second of three drawings. A total of 15 ATVs will be won, all built at the Honda plant in Timmonsville, SC.

Five more ATV winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 15. Enter non-winning Honda tickets online or by mail by Tuesday, July 8, to be eligible.
