COLUMBIA, SC (August 5, 2021) – Two exciting changes are coming to Powerball®. Soon, Powerball® players in South Carolina will have a new day to play and a new way to win up to $10 million.
Starting Monday, August 23, Powerball® is adding a Monday drawing and offering Double Play®, a new game add on with cash prizes.
Powerball® will be drawn three nights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Tickets will remain $2 and the game odds and prizes will stay the same. Powerball® anticipates the addition of a Monday drawing will deliver bigger, faster-growing jackpots and more winners.
South Carolina is one of 13 lotteries to offer Double Play®. For an additional $1, players can add Double Play® to their Powerball® ticket for another chance to match their Powerball® numbers in a separate drawing for a chance to win up to $10 million. Double Play® drawings will be held after the Powerball® drawing and can be watched online at Powerball.com.
