Claim Deadline Extended

If you have any lottery tickets lying around, you should check and see if any are winners. When the Claims Center closed due to the pandemic, the last day to redeem tickets that expired during that time was extended. This extended deadline to claim prizes is ending August 31, 2020.

Winnings from scratch-off tickets with expiration dates between March 17, 2020 and August 31, 2020 can be redeemed until Monday, August 31, 2020. A complete list of the more than 40 Scratch-offs impacted, is found below.

For draw games, tickets normally expire 180 days from the draw date printed on the ticket. The deadline to redeem winnings for draw game tickets with expiration dates between April 10, 2020 and August 30, 2020 was extended also to Monday, August 31, 2020. A draw game ticket that expired between March 17, 2020 and April 9, 2020 can be redeemed also until August 31, 2020, but only by submitting it to the Lottery’s Claims Center.

Depending on the prize amount won, winners can claim prizes at lottery retailers, by mail, or at the Lottery’s Claims Center on Assembly Street in Columbia. More information on claiming prizes is available on the Lottery’s website https://www.sceducationlottery.com/Games/HowToPlay#Claim
