4/11/2008 3:57:30 PM

COLUMBIA, SC (April 11, 2008) – Clifford Hodge, Jr. is the best kind of friend to have. The Irmo man just won $1 million playing Cash Bonanza Riches and is already sharing his prize with his two best buddies!
“We’ve been friends a long time, and we always buy tickets together,” Hodge said. “I’m splitting the million dollars three ways, except I get an extra penny,” he laughed.
Hodge’s friends, who are both from Chapin, don’t want to reveal their identities, but they admit the first thing the trio will do is take a vacation together. “We like to fish, so we’re planning a deep sea fishing trip, maybe to Costa Rica,” the buddies said.
The friends, who all work in the construction industry, bought the lucky ticket at Outrigger Tavern and Eat in Irmo. “We called our wives when we realized the ticket was a million dollar winner. The wives told us it was time to go home,” the trio joked.
Cash Bonanza Riches is a ten dollar ticket. The odds of winning a top million dollar prize is 1 in 2,022,857.14. Two more $1 million prizes remain in the game with more than $28 million remaining in other prize levels.
