COLUMBIA, SC (November 6, 2007) – The Powerball® jackpot climbed to an estimated $71 million for Wednesday night's draw as the grand prize was not hit in the Saturday evening draw. The winner claimed his prize at the Fort Mill Claims Center but wished to remain anonymous. The man, from Charlotte, North Carolina, crossed the border to play the lottery in the Palmetto State. He purchased his lucky ticket at Petro Express #3943, 249 Carowinds Boulevard, in Fort Mill.
The white ball numbers drawn were 1, 31, 38, 40 and 53. The red Powerball® number was 42 and the PowerPlay® was 2.
The jackpot for the Wednesday, November 7th drawing is $71 million with a cash option of $34.5 million.
