COLUMBIA, SC (October 1, 2007) – Watching a recent television show paid off for Powerball® players around the country and here in the Palmetto State!

TLC (The Learning Channel) aired a documentary series called “Lottery Changed My Life” on Sunday, September 23. The show reported the numbers 50, 54, 31, 08, 25, and 44. Ronald Davenport, of Greenville, played the numbers and won $10,000.

Davenport matched four of the five white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number in Wednesday night’s Powerball® drawing. “My wife saw the TV show on the most common lottery numbers, and she told me to pick them,” he said.

The numbers draw in the Wednesday, September 26, 2007, Powerball® drawing were 25, 27, 31, 44, 54 and the Powerball® 8. The Powerball® numbers drawn matched five of the numbers featured on the TLC program.

Davenport is one of five confirmed South Carolina Powerball® players who chose the numbers after watching the TLC documentary.

Nineteen tickets sold in South Carolina matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number. Eight of the winners paid an extra dollar for PowerPlay®, which multiplied their winnings by 2, increasing the prize to $20,000.
