COLUMBIA, SC (September 13, 2007) – A vacation is on the horizon for Lula Collins of McCormick, SC, who claimed a $400,000 prize from the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL)!

Collins said she couldn’t believe it when she realized the numbers on her Palmetto Cash 5 ticket were the same numbers that popped up during the September 7 evening drawing. Collins’s ticket correctly matched all five numbers resulting in a top prize of $100,000. She spent an extra dollar to purchase the Power-Up multiplier option. The Power-Up number drawn was a 4, increasing Collins’s winnings from $100,000 to $400,000. The winning numbers were 8, 13, 18, 25, and 29. The Power-Up multiplier was 4.

“When I won, the first person I told was my daughter,” Collins said.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Quick Pantry #26, 900 East Durst Avenue in Greenwood. After taxes, Collins took home more than $270,000.
