$15 MILLION POWERBALL® JACKPOT STILL UNCLAIMED
4/6/2007 1:12:14 PM

Columbia, SC (April 5, 2007): Last night, a Powerball® ticket purchased in South Carolina correctly matched all six numbers to win the estimated $15 million jackpot. The ticket was sold at Amoco Food Shop #3 located at 3021 TV Road in Florence.

“This is another great day in the history of South Carolina,” said Tony Cooper, SCEL’s Chief Operating Officer. “This marks the fourth time a winning Powerball ticket was sold in South Carolina.”

Charles Howard, Jr., the owner of the store that sold the winning ticket, still cannot believe this is real. “This is all a dream,” said Howard. “I just hope the winner comes forward soon. We’re just happy they chose our location.”

The retailer who sells a winning Powerball® jackpot ticket receives a $50,000 selling bonus once the winning ticket has been claimed. “We have 50 employees in our company,” said Howard. “We want to share some of the winnings with them.”

The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winning ticket. The winner must claim the prize in person at SCEL’s Columbia Claims Center located at 717-C Lady Street in Downtown Columbia.
